#1 Book about Data Visualization while cramming course Data Engineering operated by Tuan Anh Pham

General personal review:

  • Easy to comprehend. If you are lazy, skip this to page 253. You’re welcome!
  • I see that since the author wanted us to get used to blank space when designing our dashboard, as to the point that he himself included WHOLE LOTS of blank space to his page. This is indeed a good thing for us, it does however irritate me when sometimes too little content in a single page. Maybe my mindset somehow still declines to add more blank space to my own dashboard design …. Very likely so!
  • Graphical figures are superb! Highly illustrative and carefully selected.
  • Some opinions actually go against the mindset of creating dashboard with intentions. I do believe that there should be a gray zone area for abstract context.
  • Some case studies are funny to read, ain’t nobody has time for that. However, it does differ from region to region that these case studies may be applied perfectly.
  • I like donut pie chart, as the one I have created for Workouts Wednesday week 41 year 2021 challenge in the picture below. Hmm I have to disagree with author’s opinion on using pie chart here ...
